[Location]

State: QLD

Location: To me he has described the extent of uutaalnganu as from Night Island north to Lloyd Bay as far as Lloyd Island. Other informants indicate that in the Claudie River region both uutalnganu and kuutjaanyu were used, and that in the Cape Sidmouth region both uutaalnganu and kiikinyu were used. The general consensus of information puts Cape Sidmouth as the northern boundary of Umpila, and the Claudie River as the southern boundary of Kuuku-Ya?u, leaving Uutaalnganu in the middle (Thompson 1976:233).

about Claude River to Cape Sidmouth and hinterland (Oates 1975:280).

From mouth of Lockhart River round Cape Direction south along coast almost to Knight Island (LMW); or, along the coast from near Knight Island to Claudie River mouth, but not at Knight Island or in the hinterland (LMW)(Oates 1975:282 on Uwtalngan).(Note that Knight Island is an error for Night Island.)
